GSTS OVERRUNS WESLEY GIRLS AS THE SCHOOL WITH THE HIGHEST SUCCESS RATE OVER HALF A DECADE(2009-2014)

On 3rd November,2015,Ghana Secondary Technical School(GSTS),a Takoradi based second-cycle institution was officially announced as the most successful school since 2009.This puts GSTS ahead some so-called elite schools and creates a fine impression for the educational ladder of Ghana.
The crown of the most
successful school was on Wesley Girls' High School for a three
consecutive year period until this new discovery.In a ranking which has
already sparked enormous debate,GSTS placed ahead of Wesley Girls and
St.Francis Xavier Seminary for grabs.
This new statistics by Interpoll Africa was done based on the successes of a school since September of 2009 to September 2014.In all 37 schools were scaled to determine which ten of them deserved this honor.
Below are some of the major achievements of GSTS which were put into consideration:
2009-Winner of Robotics Inspired Science Education
2010-Winner of Commonwealth Inter-Country Debate on African Unity.
2010-Winner of National Art Exhibition
2011-2nd Runner-Up,Robotics Inspired Science Education
2012-Winner of National Science and Maths Quiz
2013-Winner of National What Do You Know Competition
2013-Sprite Basketball Bronze Medalist
2014-Runner-Up,National Science and Maths Quiz
2014-WASSCE Overall Best Student,Ghana(Mickail Hassan)
2014-WASSCE Overall Best Student in Africa(Mickail Hassan)
2014-The BANDELE Award Winner
2015-Winners of Osagyefo Independence Cup
These are just the major achievements,some minor achievements were also considered.

5.Presbyterian Boys' SHS,Legon 81.90%

8.Archbishop Porter Girls' SHS 75.88%
9.Pope John Seminary 74.29%
10.St.Francis Xavier Seminary 72.04%
11.Keta SHS 69.32%
12.Accra Academy 68.41%
13.Opoku Ware School 68.00%
14.Aburi Girls' SHS 66.70%
15.Anglican SHS,Kumasi 62.10%
16.Koforidua Secondary Technical School 61.00%

INTER SCHOOL SOCCER GAMES
Prempeh College has successfully secured their spot in the 2015/16
indomie inter school soccer games (formally known as MILO) by beating
their opponents who were not threats to the region's powerhouse-PREMPEH.
They faced opposition from Oppong Memorial and Hope College whose name did not befit their actions as they were hopeless from start to finish.
3-0, 2-0 were the scorelines for the day including a penalty shootouts which ended 6-5 in favour of Prempeh college.
We say kudos to the boys for the good Job!!!
And we hope you power up during the main event.
