2020 WASSCE BEGINS

As this year’s WASSCE begins, we would like to wish our dear seniors the very best in every way. While they keep their heads up high and maintain an extra sharp focus during these troubling times. We would like to remind seniors and to all and sundry about all the health protocols being observed and all measures are in place to ensure the safety of seniors and the containment of the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The timetable indicates that the examination will begin today, with Project Work for Visual Arts candidates, while the theory papers will start from August 3, 2020, until September 5, 2020 when the examination will be brought to an end with Principles of Cost Accounting and Technical Drawing.

May God be with you all and we wish you the very best.

PREMPEH COLLEGE GRABS THE SUPER ZONALS 2019!

It is quite clear now that Prempeh college needs more space in their trophy cabinet after setting new records and winning two trophies in a space of about three weeks. Prempeh College emerged winners in arguably the most prestigious sports trophy at the senior high level overpowering former champions, Amass and the wannabes Opoku Ware secondary school (Owass) who continues to play second fiddle to Prempeh College.
This trophy couldn't have come at a better time following their prolonged period of impassable super zonal victory and the 70th-anniversary docking later this year as well as the ultimate response to rivals coming at them with the "school gate challenge" due to the poor state of the school's gates. This attack was spearheaded by owass after their newly constructed school entrance and who pretty much prefers to decorate their school rather than achieve success. But just as Jack Canfield wrote..."Successful people maintain a positive focus no matter what is going on around them." And indeed Prempeh College maintained its focus and achieved this victory.
Prempeh College enmeshed the trophy with 99 points and left Opoku Ware Secondary School and TI Amass scrambling for 2nd and 3rd positions. Prempeh College pointed out on their Facebook handle that, they couldn't have achieved this feat without the support of the 86/88 year group who enriched the boys with the needed athletic gears and the construction of the athletic ovals on their school fields as well as other seniors who in one way or the other aided this victory.
With the 70th-anniversary coming up they are ever ready to clinch any trophy that comes their way!!!

A very BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Prempeh  College for winning this trophy and bringing to an abrupt, the 10-year dominance of TI Amass.

70 years of academic excellence!

PREMPEH COLLEGE SHOWS NO MERCY AT THE ZONE 2 OF THE INTERCO!

Prempeh College for the uncountable number of times 'man-handled' the zone 2 of the Inter-Schools and Colleges Athletics competition (INTERCO) which is now acknowledged as Beta Malt Interschools and Colleges Athletic Competition at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
It was all frenzy mode on the 11th and 12th of March as we were in no disposition to show mercy by winning the zone with a towering margin of 62 points to the nearest opponent. This is a clear indication of how dominant Prempeh College is when it comes to the INTERCO. And just to spice
things up...

DID YOU KNOW that...Prempeh College has won the INTERCO for a whopping 26 consecutive times. I repeat 26 consecutive times. From 1993-2019 without a break. A record unmatched by any other school. Did you also know that Prempeh College achieved a new record during the INTERCO? Kelvin Adu has now equalled the national record for the high jump.
Well, we hope this amazing performance is a prelude for better things to come to the Super Zonals which takes off on the 28th and the 29th of March.

This is how the results unravelled:

Prempeh College-155 points

AL-Azhariya-93 points

Islamic SHS-82 points

KTI-72 points

Koss-71 points

Ghana Muslim Mission-58 points

CONGRATS TO THE BOYS!!!

Kumasi High School Joins Prempeh College, Owass And Others as Category ‘A’ School As KASS, T.K And Others Drop

.

Kumasi High School has joined Prempeh College, Opoku Ware School, St.Louis SHS and two others as Category A schools in the Ashanti Region.

Kumasi High Schools dream of becoming a Category A School has finally seen a day light upon outstanding performance in all spheres of academic life for years.

As KUHIS has been promoted, other notable schools have dropped from being Category A to Category B schools, among them are Kumasi Anglican SHS, Tweneboah Koduah SHS, Konongo Odumasi SHS, St. Monica’s SHS Effiduasi SHS etc.

It’s also worth noting that there are only six category A Schools remaining in Ashanti Region per the Computerised School Selection and Placement System(CSSPS) late 2017 review.

The schools are Ashanti region's powerhouse-Prempeh College, along Opoku Ware School, , Yaa Asantewaa Girls SHS, St. Louis Girls, Kumasi High School and T.I Amass- Kumasi.

Congtatulations to Kumasi High School. Your hardwork has indeed put you where you belong.
